To serve the citizens during the Covid-19 crisis, Simpolo Foundation took the initiative to set up the 'Simpolo Corona Care Center' in Morbi, Gujarat.
The care center kept the momentum going for a month. Started off with an 80-beds capacity, the care center has served more than 1400+ citizens & 466+ patients admitted & treated in the covid center since mid-April who have also been recovered and discharged leading to a happy recovery.
The accommodation capacity of the center eventually increased to 140 beds and 80 oxygen beds. As a part of our response to the pandemic, over 200 + trees were planted to enhance the supply of oxygen around the patients.
Simpolo Foundation also started an innovative green initiative where recovered patients at the time of their discharge, were given saplings of Peepal Plant as a memento to honor them for their courage and resilience.
We then stepped up to go the extra mile to ensure that we bridge the gap between the essential supplies and patients under care. Our esteemed health workers, with frequent monitoring, expedited a seamless supply of medicines, meals, and nutrition to the admitted citizens.
We left no stone unturned when it came to health checkups and monitoring.
The facility was able to organize more than 300 regular checkups and over 1400+ OPDs
Leveraging the expertise of our health workers, the center ensured monitoring of the patients by a stand-in Doctors and Nursing team.
With escalating infections reporting in the country, Simpolo Foundation is keen on serving the citizens by deploying our resources and strengthening collaboration. We are willing to support and ready to do more to help people heal in these trying times.
We would also like to express immense gratitude towards
Jitendra Aghara (CMD at Simpolo Group)
J.B.Patel (Collector, Morbi)
Mohan Bhai Kudaria (MP, Rajkot) for their interest and support to initiate the care center and helping people heal faster.
